CityStudio London

Interested in teaching a course that allows students to contribute directly to city initiatives?  The Community Engaged Learning team is looking for faculty interested in teaching a CityStudio course in 2020/2021!

CityStudio London is a partnership between the City of London, post-secondary institutions, and the community that fosters collaboration, supports knowledge translation, and strengthens campus-community relationships.

CityStudio courses provide students the opportunity to apply course concepts to city-driven projects that respond to emerging needs in the London community. Combining in-class and experiential learning, students in CityStudio courses will be able to simultaneously obtain knowledge, build transferable skills, and develop a keen sense of social responsibility by contributing meaningfully to the city’s future.

To learn more, visit CityStudio London to see courses running this inaugural year, the first year of student projects completed in 2019-2020, highlights from the public launch and project showcase, and more!

If you are interested in teaching a CityStudio London course in the 2020/2021 academic year, please complete Western’s application form by May 1, 2020.  This might mean modifying an existing course or developing a new course to fit the CityStudio model.  Support is available to help adapt proposed courses for online learning.
