Morning only

Planting for a Better Tomorrow

Join Agricom & Urban Roots as they present an interactive and educational booth designed to raise awareness about local food systems, community gardening, and agriculture sustainability.

Take Back the Night Community Advocacy Event

Join Changing Ways as they propose a collective action session led by four local gender-based violence prevention agencies: Changing Ways, London Abused Women's Centre, Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration, and Anova. Together, students and these organizations will organize the revival of Take Back the Night, returning to London for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. Students will have the option to make rally signs, contribute to a shared art piece, or record short social media videos centered around themes of safety, resistance, and community.

Create to Cure: A Kindness Card Event

Join Crafting for a Cure as they lead a hands-on volunteer activity where first-year students create cheerful, handmade "Kindness Cards" to be delivered to pediatric patients in hospitals. Participants will also reflect on their own childhood experiences through an interactive board titled "What Would Have Made You Smile as a Kid?", allowing them to think empathetically, creatively, and have a deeper emotional connection to the cause.

Gender Justice

Join the Gender Equality Coalition in promoting gender justice as they highlight their organization's activities and lead students in creating protest signs and promotional videos. A photo booth will also be set up for student participation.

Morning & Afternoon

Totes of Joy

Join Western's Dream Team as they explore creative, low-barrier volunteer activities. Students will be involved in tote bag decorating as the main activity where they will decorate blank tote bags using fabric markers and/or paints. Once complete, the bags will be given to the chapter director at Make-A-Wish, who can either fill them with small gifts or distribute them as-is to Wish Kids and their families. The goal is to create something thoughtful and personalized that brings joy and encouragement to the recipients.

Crafting Medicine Pouches: Honouring Indigenous Knowledge & Practice

Join Nokee Kwe to be guided in making medicine pouches that the non-profit can use at an event/handout to clients. Included will be a discussion on the significance of medicine bags and the overall significance of Indigenous medicine and Indigenous knowledge/ways of knowing.

STEM & Service Lab

Join the Ontario Centre for Talent Development at the STEM & Service Lab, where students will engage in hands-on STEM, creativity, and community service through a series of interactive mini-stations. Designed to be inclusive, engaging, and purpose-driven, this event encourages students to explore how innovation and outreach can work hand in hand. Students will rotate through three activity stations, with a brief opening presentation and a short reflective wrap-up at the end.

Connecting the Community Video Project

Join the STEAM Education Centre to help create updated promotional videos for the reBUILDit Computer donation program, which gathers donations of used computers to help close the digital equity gap for youth, Indigenous, newcomers, and equity diverse individuals. Groups can each make their own video that we can share through our socials and website.

Sustainability Scavenger Hunt

Join Western Sustainability to explore campus, learn about sustainability initiatives, build connections with on- and off-campus groups (i.e., FOGs and LEN), and have fun with your team. Through an engaging scavenger hunt format, students will participate in interactive activities such as a waste sorting challenge, sustainability trivia, and campus exploration. The event also includes a native pollinator garden tour in partnership with FOGs, highlighting their work and the green space they help maintain.

Day of Inclusive Sport

Join motionball in an afternoon of inclusive sport! Play a variety of sports alongside your peers and Special Olympic athletes from the London community as you learn more about motionball and Special Olympics.
